The restaurant in Dundrum is due to reopen later this month and is now owned by the former head chef of Deanes EIPIC Alex Greene and Bronagh McCormick, who was previously General Manager of the Deanes Restaurant Group.

Iconic County Down restaurant The Bucks Head Inn has secured £100,000 from the British Business Bank to fund a major refurbishment.

The debt funding is managed by Whiterock and Clarendon Fund Managers provides equity stakes in smaller businesses. Since then he has worked in restaurants across the world while Brongah has a degree in hospitality and has spent her whole career working in the hospitality sector.“The Bucks Head is somewhere which means a great deal to Alex and, as the previous owners were retiring, we felt the time was right to go into business together,” she said.
