Jay-Z is officially turning his business mind to a new venture, the legal weed industry. Cannabis companyAccording to a release on their, Jay's position revolves around creative decisions, outreach efforts and strategy, while also working on a bigger scale to improve on social justice issues involved in weed legalization, including previously incarcerated people. He will do so via “advocacy, job training and overall employee and workforce development.
“Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos make them the best partners for this endeavor. We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good and bring people along the way.”
A number of other rappers have dipped their toes into the weed industry, including Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, who all have their own strains.
