Google, Facebook business models threat to rights, says Amnesty

A report published by rights group Amnesty International says business models used by Google and Facebook enable them to collect massive amounts of data that may be used against their customers. – EPA pic, November 21, 2019.

The organisation argued that offering people free online services and then using information about them to target money-making ads imperils a gamut of rights, including freedom of opinion and expression.
