Last week, a workers' rights group found that factories supplying Boohoo clothing in Leicester were putting workers at risk of catching COVID-19.Fast-fashion giant Boohoo has promised to investigate conditions at one of its suppliers' factories in Leicester after an explosiveA reporter for the Times of London went overcover to work at the factory, which produced clothes for two of Boohoo's brands, and found staff were wearing almost no protective equipment despite COVID-19 rules.

"It therefore appears that a different company is using Jaswal's former premises and we are currently trying to establish the identity of this company. A spokesperson for Boohoo did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for additional comment. Labour Behind the Label said factories in Leicester producing Boohoo clothing had flouted social distancing rules and put workers at risk of catching COVID-19.

Companies tend to pay the local market rate. It's most likely the same fee all other businesses & factories are paying. Many of these countries advertise themselves as zones for cheap labour to attarct investment. I wouldnt be so critical towards boohoo about it.

BooHoo 'to investigate' - come on - we're not fools!!! Should NEVER have happened - any self-respecting brand KNOWS its suppliers and KNOWS how they conduct themselves. I'm bloody fuming - shame on this company. Who's the OWNER - they've got some answers to give!

The reason why these companies move their manufacturing facilities to certain countries is precisely because their production costs are much lower than those in the UK. To suggest that they don't know what they're paying their workers is absolute bullshit....

Ah, yese iyo...ndipei hangu

I'm forbidden by the hidden red book.I want honour back.
