Sex worker Makgosi Letimile shines the light on the whiteness of South Africa’s lucrative sex toy industry.

I dream of having a bricks-and-mortar store in five years ... which brings me to my assessment of the industry I operate in.

In reviewing the sex toys that I purchase online, I have come to realise that all the store owners are white – white men, white women. Sex toy retailing is all white, like my favourite brew of coffee. I’ve had black middlemen approach me to “work” with me. Usually, they don’t own a store and it’s mostly a side hustle started out of a curiosity about sex toys and the misconception that it’s fast and easy money. They aren’t able to afford the capital needed to own a store.

We can’t talk about the whiteness of the industry and not talk about how it costs at least R2 million to start and run a sex toy shop.

Allow Prostitution now

So because your wannabe entrepreneur does not have R2mill lying around to start a sex toy retail store, it's a race issue? This is truly pathetic race baiting & again why MSM must be considered a threat to our democracy as you actively seek to cause division and harm.

Why is this even in the news? Slow day?

Sex worker? No. Prostitute. Yes.

Wow😂😂a moaning whore😂😂😂

My word! The white owner sex shops must seke now be BEEed too.

Instead of moaning about it been to white ..she could use it to her advantage ..and learn to produce her own products ..like many creative black people do .

Sex worker Lol
