Trump's attacks on European leaders, his withdrawal from multilateral treaties and his wider 'America First' policy have resulted in torn alliances and incredibly low public perceptions of the country's leadership among most Europeans.showed a large majority of Europeans rating Trump's handling of the presidency as "terrible." The same poll also found a large majority would like his challenger Joe Biden to win in November.
"Biden's presidency, internationally speaking, would be a conscious effort to repudiate Trump's legacy, especially the attacks on US allies, the rhetorical posturing, the neglect of the multilateral system, the withdrawal from the Paris accord and the Iran deal," Dalibor Roháč, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and an expert on US-European relations told Business Insider.
"We need to bring to an end an artificial trade war that the Trump administration has started … that has been poisoning economic relations, costing jobs, increasing costs for consumers," Blinken said at an online event in September. "Like Obama, the Trump administration has not had a very keen interest in Europe or its security, for example. That is not something that started in 2016 but predates Trump."
If this year's presidential contest has proven anything, it is that there is now a broad bipartisan consensus in the US on China. Both Biden and Trump have run attack ads on each other, vying to prove that their opponent is unqualified to handle Beijing's growing economic might and its increasingly aggressive behavior towards competitors.
Europe has the most corrupt international policies in the world and has been this way since their need for colonial expansion. There is a reason why trump is not a fan, they are responsible for the blood of all Iranian & middle eastern wars at the moment through govt financing.
bullshit
Biden for president...salute Joe Biden a man who respects, knows politics and is very wise too.
UK relationship at diplomatic level was substantially damaged under Obama administration. French relationship not particularly soured. The main antagonism under Trump has been w Merkel’s Germany over China and NATO payment. This article and headline aren’t really based on much.
TheWallStBull well i hear he's already got working connections in ukraine.
Historic milking of USA by EU would CONTINUE! JoeBiden is a clueless MORON no capable to have casual conversation at local bar. FYI: cars from EU still come duty free. Jeep going to EU is subject to 10% duty + 10% engine tax + on avg. 22% VAT. realDonaldTrump is working on it!
Some leaders bring countries together and some simply tear/breakdown internal and external relations. If Joe is elected, he may need to reset the clock on inequality in the US. This great country has had a fantastic 4 years on Wallstreet but racial equality suffered. God bless
Trump call a spade a spade that's the difference
What damage, specifically?
Foreign policy is about national interest. It is not about relationship to make joe family rich! No wonder the us has been taking advantage by Europe for so long. Especially Germany
Business insider is complete junk
dutchtcapital Gek he als Europa het stokje probeert over te nemen van US?
lol.
Of course you would think that. Surprise us with fair news.
Well considering ole Joe has had 47 years to fix things I would have to disagree.
ohnoTRUMPmustgo catchy phrase for 2020 election- anyone else agree?
His arragonce is the reason
Sorry. It won't happen. Trump will win again.
