Barloworld is exploring the sale of its car rental and leasing businesses, the latest corporate action for one of the oldest names in SA industry in the middle of slimming itself down to focus on mining equipment and food services.
“We are actually pivoting Barloworld into a more simplified business. When you look at car rental and leasing, my view is over the next 18-24 months, once we are more certain about the impact of Covid-19, we will look at more options in terms of how we unlock value for shareholders,” CEO Dominic Sewela said. ..
