An Irishman who set up his own barber college has revealed how the pandemic has completely changed the haircutting industry.
The talented barber says that people had to improvise with at-home alternatives like getting their partner or housemates to cut their hair. “It could also be someone who has been working in a factory for ten years and cuts his friend’s hair and is looking at barbering as a prospect for the future. His dream was to set up his own barber college to train and mentor young people which he made a reality in 2019.
The barber college was closed for a spell during the pandemic but has been open for the past few months again. A point of pride for him is his seven-step technique on how to approach every head of hair to have a good cut every time.
