Economist says, the “hardest-hit sector” was the first to experience the results of alcohol bans, travel restrictions, and many other regulations.

Travellers queue at a check-in counter at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on November 27, 2021, after several countries banned flights from South Africa following the discovery of a new Covid-19 variant Omicron.

According to economist Chris Hart, the “hardest-hit sector” was the first to experience the results of alcohol bans, travel restrictions, and many other regulations. “They tried during Covid and it wasn’t accessible – and there is no doubt that it will be very hard again because of the steep requirements, which make it very difficult for small businesses to actually operate, and also for job creation.”
