Lucas Radebe, a former Bafana Bafana and Leeds United captain, believes the current Bafana Bafana team has what it takes to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

20 April 2022, 8:37 PM |

The side, which was coached by Molefi Ntseki, drew with Ghana at home and then lost 2-nil to Sudan in Khartoum. Then there was more heartbreak when Bafana Bafana failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The only stumbling block for Bafana Bafana in their group could be Morocco. The North Africans, who were grouped with South Africa in the 2019 AFCON edition in Egypt, beat Bafana Bafana by a solitary goal in the group stages.

Former Ivory Coast Forward Salomon Kalou says, “Bafana Bafana is a top team they need to come back to the front line. I think they are capable of qualifying in this group and I think he is the guy. He says what he says I think he is right.”
