Former prime minister Scott Morrison says he will participate in “any genuine process” to learn the lessons from the pandemic, but has said he expects this to be a broader inquiry covering the actions of states and territories | auspol LisaVisentin

Former prime minister Scott Morrison says he will participate in “any genuine process” to learn the lessons from the pandemic, but has said he expects this to be a broader inquiry covering the actions of states and territories.

“To respond to the Solicitor General’s advice I refer to my statement last week where I set out that at no time, other than the consideration of the PEP11 matter from first principles, did I exercise powers established under these lawful authorities. The pandemic may not be “over”, strictly speaking, but for most of us, it’s fair to say the worst of COVID-19’s intrusions into our daily lives are now in the rear-view mirror.

LisaVisentin Rightly so!

LisaVisentin the pandemic is a smoke screen, Morrison did not need to be appointed to the 5 ministries, trashed our democratic instituions, misled/deceived parliament & the public. we dont need one on the pandemic, we need integrity and transparency in our democracy the inquiry is about this.

LisaVisentin Don't think he's really in a position to be setting the agenda. The enquiry isn't about the pandemic it's about him breaking constitutional convention and doing who knows what.

LisaVisentin Morrison doesn’t call the shots anymore. He must be hating it, particularly given his penchant for power.

LisaVisentin But of course you do realize that they are two different matters completely yet you are happy to roll out Scott's attempt to merge them This is about trashing parliamentary conventions & democracy. The pandemic response is about....wait for it...the pandemic response nationwide.

LisaVisentin Lying prick !!!!

LisaVisentin Already dog whistling his Trumpist supporters, Morrison is a vile creature who would look fantastic in an orange jumpsuit and shackles.

LisaVisentin The scrutiny is on his dreadful handling of the pandemic

LisaVisentin 'Any genuine process' What he really means is, a process that he agrees with. And considering he was never going to implement a Federal ICAC, will he participate in that Or the Parliamentary Inquiry into his secretive appointment to other portfolios

LisaVisentin Will relentless push by PM & fellow travellers & libertarian media commentators & business interests to nullify national plan to at least minimise community transmission of Covid be on the agenda for the Covid inquiry Roadmap out of Covid became roadkill Thousands died too soon

LisaVisentin This will be the end of the inquiry then 😂 Albo wont want to dive into the states handling of lockdowns, restrictions, mandates etc

LisaVisentin What role did the states and territories have in deceiving his colleagues, the Parliament and the people?

LisaVisentin What's the States got to do with his secrecy. Delusional

LisaVisentin Big words from a backbencher. Listen up, Scotty: You don’t get a say in the terms of reference for the Royal,Commission and can be compelled to attend. Just like you and your mates revelled in doing to Rudd, Shorten and Gillard.

LisaVisentin Former PM wants enquiry to find State/Territories are to blame and that he did no wrong!

LisaVisentin Former prime minister Scott Morrison must resign. auspol LisaVisentin

LisaVisentin who cares what he expects
