'Permanent bracelets' are claspless jewelry that require tools to remove and are growing in popularity via social media. Find out where you can get them in Columbus.

When former executive assistant Anna Hardy was laid off during the first few months of COVID, she began thinking about what was next., which sells claspless jewelry that requires tools to remove and is growing in popularity via social media. The company books events and hosts pop-up experiences, called a"Golden Hour," for customers to get bracelets, necklaces, anklets or rings installed.

Hardy, 36, of Upper Arlington, said she's long been interested in having a business of her own, and began to brainstorm ideas. It was a post by a social media influencer that introduced her to the concept of permanent bracelets, and when she couldn't find a company outside of New York that did it, she decided to start one herself. The transition made sense for Hardy, who has two young children, 2 and 4 years old.

"I really struggled with the time away from our kids while I was working a more conventional job — the milestones I might miss out on and the quality time I wouldn’t get back," she said."Our kids are still young and not in school full-time and I know this time is fleeting so getting to spend this time with them has been priceless."Stay Golden's upcoming pop-ups will take place at Oasis Face Bar in the Short North and The W Nail Bar in New Albany later this month.
