Mineral Resources and Energy minister Gwede Mantashe said load shedding is becoming worse than state capture because of how it is directly affecting citizens and taking a toll on the economy. | News24_Business

.

At a signing ceremony for 13 new independent power projects on Thursday, Mantashe said load shedding is becoming worse than state capture because of how it is directly affecting citizens and taking a toll on the economy. The minister said Eskom simply has to fix its operational issues. In his view, six months of focused maintenance ought to be ample time to address the matter.

_Business Resolve the Eskom mess and get our country back to normal. Stop playing games. We all know why this happened. The government is to blame for sleeping on the job and allowing it.🥴😔😔

_Business He should by now know who is responsible notescomexecutives

_Business From the most technologically clueless, who has NO understanding of the disgraceful thieving and mismanagement of all SOE's by the ANC. What a sidestep. They have messed up 5 so far. Pathetic spokesperson of no recount. Sies

_Business Resign please.

_Business Smartest guy at the special school GwedeMantashe1

_Business Unyanisile

_Business No shit Sherlock

_Business Why not use IPP’s? This at least would help businesses.

_Business Our president would rather export coal to other countries. We have alot of coal so why send it off to other countries when our country is almost at stage 8 of loadshedding. Oh but they don't care because they have millions to spend on generators.

_Business Loadshadding and state capture same WhatsApp group

_Business Nope, the government is to blame for the Eskom crisis. Don’t try to switch it around now

_Business ANC is always attempting to minimize 'State Capture'. This guy...

_Business No hope in Eskom nor the Goverment . All talk no action.

_Business Jou stupid. State capture is die oorsaak.

_Business But it is state capture that caused it. Let us never forget that inconvenient (for the ANC) fact.

_Business AND!!!... it advanced to this 'stage' under your watch ?!?! What did you do to prevent it from getting to this point..?!?!

_Business Now Mantashe and Mkhize are trying ther best to split the ANC into 3 factions.i

_Business 😳😳

_Business He speaks like us ordinary mortals. Si se kakeni la! ( a wiseman once said)

_Business He is giving us problems not solutions. He is very useless ad a minister

_Business It is due to state capture that we are where we are!

_Business Lets rank the problems from bad to worse, cause that will fix them. 🙄

_Business How do you separate the two if loadshedding was the results of state capture especially considering the money that was looted during kusile and Medupi constructions

_Business Even a broken clock is right once a day...

_Business Please Share. Enough of the corruption, high crime, load shedding, high fuel and food cost. They have done more harm to SA than upliftment. Down with a select few that only enriches themselves. ANCMUSTFALL

_Business He makes it sound like SA is not being brought to its knees by BOTH blatant failures of the ANC.

_Business 🙏

_Business Mantashe is only working up now. Companies are closing down and small ones are worse, township and rural economy is in crisis, load shedding is worse than state capture and yet the president wants second term

_Business This is just crazy logic.. so state capture didn’t hurt us all. Heaven help us with this kind of person at the helm

_Business All thanks to him and his cronies.

_Business Lol why don't you ask them different questions, because we've heard it all before. You're part of the machine.

_Business State capture will never be worse on him coz he benefited

_Business We need solutions not comments 🤐🙄

_Business Go on pension no idea about electricty

_Business Nothing new and we don't know about effects of loading shedding...

_Business Here we have it ANCRenewal22 in all its glory brought to you and supported by SACP1921 and _cosatu.

_Business Eskom fails to deliver its services many businesses will collapse

_Business Gwede..,you’ve always been part of the ruling party - this didn’t happen to you. You made this happen!

_Business There are many electricity producers, ready to supply into the ESKOM grid. The Minister is the blockage.

_Business Talk is cheap Minister Mantashe. It's part of your responsibility. You will certainly fail your performance review.

_Business Loadshedding is a result of state capture, a process in which the corrupt criminal anc cadre thugs bankcrupted Eskom

_Business You and your anc must come with the solution finish and klarr

_Business He is actually right

_Business Load shedding is part of state capture consequences GwedeMantashe1

_Business Load shedding and Eskom problems are a direct result of State Capture which is the fault of the ANC through their corruption, stealing and incompetence. Without the ANC corruption, stealing and incompetence Eskom would not have had a problem. Blame the ANC

_Business what do you think lead to this point?-STATE CAPTURE from the anc

_Business You created that state capture that never existed now you are reversing

_Business Unfortunately government did nothing when Eskom was captured.

_Business So kuzonceda ngani if you talk about it

_Business You should resign immediately

_Business Mcim

_Business Go figure Gwede 🤔

_Business He is busy defending Ramsphosa instead of doing his job. This guy is very bad for the country

_Business And his party is responsible for both.

_Business Cadre, do you realise that the money your fellow cadres steal comes from taxes? Taxes that aren't being generated because of the energy crisis?

_Business .. There is only one to blame for this Eskom debacle..that is the ANC...!!!!! 😡😡😡

_Business Pot kettle situation here.

_Business JZ and Gupta's are gone but the state is still captured

_Business Lying old man , what a shame , no wisdom whosoever

_Business No difference, both are bad for the country. People not doing their jobs must be fired and competent people must take their jobs.

_Business AKA Bosasa

_Business Yeah but its because of 30 years of poor maintenance and theft .. too blame eskom for the state of SA is intellectually dishonest

_Business Are these people still in Cabinet 🙄🙄🙄

_Business No plan, no clue, energy minister?

_Business Minister just step back you know nothing about energy.

_Business He got that right! At least.

_Business Mr Mantashe state capture affected all of us and was a massive tool of destruction to our economy. Load shedding is terrible but please don't try minimize the wreckage left behind by state capture. Both are equally destructive

_Business 🤷 And your role in this Minister? None?

_Business With attitudes like this this mess will never be resolved

_Business Mantashe has lost the plot completely... ignorant useless cadre. You were part and parcel of Eskom's demise for many years... now you want to come up with a version só crazy that even your staunchest commie supporters will cringe with embarrassment - Eskom busy with a coup 😂

_Business Load shedding is BECAUSE of state capture

_Business GwedeMantashe1 are you saying because you are struggling with farm inQueenstown? Maybe ask the Watsons to come and install some solar. You know their number well

_Business Now he talks - who is the one to delay the renewables projects and limits on private generation? Gwede it was you! Who had is fingers in the till with Karpowerships! You again. What have you achieved my friend? GwedeMantashe1

_Business Lol! Here's a thought Gwede:-maybe the MYANC should have built more power generation facilities over the last 27 years instead of just sticking your heads in the sand & pretending increasing electricity demand doesn't exist. Gwede you & the ANC have failed. Eskom Ramaphosa

_Business I think it's time for uncle Gwede to go on pension. Clock out and go count your kickbacks

_Business Genius 🤡. It’s a direct result of state capture and BEE , isn’t it !

_Business Actually GwedeMantashe1 state capture facilitated load shedding as tax money should be channelled to provide for citizens but was channelled to those who stole and corrupted govt processes and SoEs. Both equally affect citizens. You are guilty!!

_Business That’s true😂😂

_Business Load shedding is the result of state capture.

_Business Stop fooling people, you can't complain about loadshedding while supporting ramavaccins second term PhalaPhalaFarmGateCriminal

_Business Loadshedding is a direct result of state capture.

_Business This pensioner is so out of touch with reality. He can fix the problem his part created, but chooses to shift the blame. Typical.

_Business Only now Sir? Only now!

_Business Then he must do something.

_Business Zuma’s network are still behind the sabotage and tenders

_Business Fortunately most of us completely ignore anything he says. He has his own agenda. I believe it includes tying up power ships at huge cost for the next twenty years. Must be a nice “commission” on that one.

_Business Sellout busy sell it our country

_Business Given that a lot of it is due to sabotage, would it not still fall into the category of state capture - just the long game?

_Business He is complicit in both cases … yet again complete narcissistic unawareness

_Business Neither should have happened, saying one is worse than another is no excuse. Apparently the government can’t even pay SASSA. Disgusted in my government, let’s vote differently and fix SA. SukaWenaANC

_Business The next item in the museum is ESCOM to show our children where electricity use to come from

_Business Oh wow is he only seeing this now. So fucking smart he is

_Business It is your and your comrades in the ANC hietarchy who created this Frakenstein. Live with it or better still, hit the road and make way for competent and effective leaders of integrity who can go about cleaning up your mess.

_Business

_Business It is state capture that is the root cause!

_Business I do not understand.....is he not responsible....to ensure....capicity

_Business State capture it happen because of Gwede and Bosasa of which is worse than 9 wasted years

_Business Eskom is a state owned company! Now tell me which political party has been in charge of this country? STOP VOTING FOR THE ANC!!!

_Business Loadshedding is a direct result of state capture u old fossil

_Business Imagine my surprise at the ANC finding a way to pass off 2 decades State Capture looting as 'it's nothing compared to what Eskom is costing SA' 🙄🤡🤯

_Business selling the country to IMF & World Bank...you know what to hell with you and the anc

_Business Well done myanc. Managed the systematic destruction & ultimate collapse of SA . Hero to zero in 25 years .

_Business He is not completely wrong. Both are due to the ANC though, so maybe it is time to replace them.

_Business Clearly he doesn't understand corruption, both load shedding and state capture are brutal and equally evil. In his case, maybe bosasa got undeserved tenders because of security upgrades, that's still very bad.

_Business Gosh really? Go to hell Mantashe, you too have been sitting on your backside preventing renewable energy providers and private enterprise. gatvol notmyanc

_Business He acts as if he just arrived yesterday. ANC responsible for both loadshedding and State Capture. Does it matters which is worse? The one led to the other.

_Business We want the ANC OUT! Period! Ramaphosa must dissolve his cabinet and call out early elections!

_Business errolbsk the “deep thinker” in action.

_Business Last person to say that. Loadshedding was brought back by the current Anc admin which he is part of.
