“We have lots of land at home, about 11 hectares and I decided to use that to farm. Through Instagram, I managed to get in touch with famers who were born in the Eastern Cape but are now based in Durban. Depending on the season, Tulani says, he rotates his produce between butternut, spinach, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and cabbage.“I live in East London and I walk to and from campus for my classes. So whenever I hear there is a farming seminar close by, I go, even if I am not invited. I learn tricks of the trade from those who are more experienced than me.
