Mamatha Chamarthi, Stellantis' head of software business and product management, has left the company, a spokesperson confirmed.
A spokesperson said Chamarthi, whose title included global, Americas and Asia markets, will pursue other opportunities and that the change is effective immediately. Chamarthi, 54, whose profile was still active on the Stellantis website on Monday, July 8, becomes at least the fifth senior executive to leave in recent months. The management exodus has raised concerns among U.S. dealers and internally among salaried workers.
Chamarthi was named one of sibling publication's Automotive News' Leading Women in the North American auto industry in 2020. She said her first auto job was software programmer at Chrysler Corp. in 1996 as a contractor. She became an employee in 1998 and held numerous roles within the company.
