Eastern Cape Police are offering a R50 000 reward for information about the missing 4-year-old.

Eastern Cape Police are offering a R50 000 reward for information that could lead to the recovery of a missing four-year-old boy, Nakane Lizane, from Motherwell in Gqeberha.

Lizane went missing in May last year in his home at Wells Estate. Several search operations were conducted but these did not yield any positive results. Police spokesperson Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says that on the day the boy went missing, his mother was at home when he was dropped off from the daycare.

“While his mother was busy preparing supper, Lizane was playing outside the house at 1807 Erf, Ndlovini, Wells Estate, with his 10-year-old brother. After a while, their mother called them to come inside but only the 10-year-old brother went in. Lizane was nowhere to be found. The child was reported missing at SAPS Swartkops.”

Janse Van Rensburg says the police are still investigating his disappearance and are appealing to anyone with information that can assist with his whereabouts to come forward.
