Retailers participating in Step Up for Fashion, scheduled for Sept. 21, will donate 10 percent of their sales on the day to thescholarship fund, which supports the next generation of fashion designers. The retailers will also be installing temporary outdoor 4-by-4-foot platforms for models showing outfits, from 1 to 3 p.m., and staging in-store activities encouraging customers to come inside and view the new fall collections.
