Karen Fitzpatrick siphoned off cash from her employers for almost five years, Airdrie Sheriff Court heard.

A family building firm have slammed a crooked office manager who used a company credit card to buy tickets for glamour European ties at Celtic Park.

A company spokesman said: “Fitzpatrick was trusted implicitly and everyone thought she was doing a great job.

The court heard that Fitzpatrick, who joined PBR in 2004, embezzled the money between January 2016 and November 2020. “She denied any knowledge of the transaction but suspicions were raised. Investigations revealed numerous transactions involving sums of money being paid from the company to the accused’s bank account.
