Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of the Tata Group and a revered figure in India's business world, has passed away at the age of 84. He was lauded for his visionary leadership, compassionate nature, and extraordinary contributions to the nation's economic growth.

In 1962, he began working for the group his great-grandfather had founded nearly a century earlier, Tata.
