The development of Milk Marvel comes from a personal place. “I grew up with bad acne and hyperpigmentation growing up,” Glover says, “and it was such an isolating experience. I was made to feel like I was the only one experiencing these things, but really it’s the reality of so many.” A commitment to their community is what drives Eadem.“The news was really painful to watch for both of us throughout this past year,” Glover says. “But we were lucky to have one another through it all.
While they were building their brand during the pandemic, both Amouzame and Glover were pregnant around the same time, making self-care extremely important to stay afloat. Both extol the importance of the simple things: Amouzame makes sure to wash her face at night and play music, while Glover finds solace in her morning routine: drinking tea and taking a bath with salts.
