PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): Malaysia's commitment to be a carbon-neutral country as early as 2050 has the potential to attract foreign investment and show the country's commitment in tackling climate change, says Environment and Water Minister Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

In a statement on Monday , he said low-carbon investment and green technology would be able to support the country’s sustainable development agenda, as well as promote Malaysia as a green investment hub.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, when tabling the motion on the 12th Malaysia Plan 2021-2025 in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday, expressed his commitment that Malaysia will be a carbon-neutral country by as early as 2050.
