KUALA LUMPUR: Five enterprises have been found to have provisionally entered an anti-competitive agreement within the chicken industry, says the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC).

Its chief executive officer Iskandar Ismail said the companies who were feedmillers consisted of Dindings Poultry Development Centre Sdn Bhd, FFM Berhad, Gold Coin Feedmills Sdn Bhd, Leong Hup Feedmill Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and PK Agro-Industrial Products Sdn Bhd.

"A proposed decision has also been issued by us against the said enterprises for infringing Section 4 of the Competition Act 2010 . "Investigations also revealed that the sensitive commercial information shared between the enterprises is seen to potentially distort competition in the market," he said.

He highlighted that MyCC’s findings however were provisional and that these enterprises were not yet guilty, adding that the proposed decision was issued to the five companies on Friday ."They also have the option to orally present their representation on a date that will be determined upon receiving their written representation," he said.
