, SVP and CTO, Digital Solutions at Hitachi Vantara, about why the company looked outside of Silicon Valley for the expansion.Texas in general and Dallas in specific are becoming significant hubs for technology right now. ... We are originally from Santa Clara because we wanted to be close to Silicon Valley as a company. I think it wouldn’t be smart not to be in Dallas, given what’s happening in Texas and the pivot or the shift occurring from Silicon Valley to Texas and some of the cities there.

The talent pool is strong. … we already had 400 people in Dallas, so we had the base foundation of talent. A lot of my leadership is based in Dallas, and we also had the square footage to build this type of center and deploy it. So a lot of forces converged in focusing on Dallas. The cost savings is pretty much immediate. It comes via a few venues.
