A planning application has been submitted to turn a popular food market in Belfast City Centre into a car park.
The Common Market complex was granted approval to become an entertainment and event space in April of this year and has since seen a number of food vendors set-up there.However, this approval was only granted on a temporary basis for the period of two years.
Whereabouts is “The Common Market”? I havs never heard of it 😞

There is a multistory car park right next door, one out the front door and one over the street!! Plus this place is exactly what belfast needs, a cracking spot! So so backwards, quite fitting really!
Surely this is not in any way necessary, you can always get a parking space in belfast even when it’s busy - we have so many multi stories for a tiny centre!

Seriously we don't need another empty car park. The Common Market is very popular so why choose that location when there are so many empty places in the town already.
