The building trades unions are bringing in plumbers and welders from all over Canada while our own workers sit idle, seems like a union scam to me.

Is the labour crunch having an impact on business / services in your area?

another vocm dumb question of the day!

It isn't a labour crunch, people aren't going to work for the measly minimum wage we have here. We need a living wage!

Family tells me every time they go somewhere like Tim's the door is locked and drive through only People are either too afraid to go outside or are just to lazy to work

It’s not a labour crunch. Truth is people can’t afford to work for the wages being offered

Lots of people not working.Nobody wants to work for low wages if they can help it.

Lower paying jobs are impacted, always the case isn’t it ?

With over 800k out of work it is far from a labour crunch something else is the problem

Is it a really a labour crunch or is it “businesses not willing to pay a living wage so no one can afford to take those jobs” crunch … 🤔

Yes, a lot of businesses have “help wanted” signs posted up. In some places, hours of operation have been cut back.
