SINGAPORE – When Mr Dilip Babu moved to Singapore from India 22 years ago, he worked as a software engineer with a monthly salary of $2,000.

As part of his commitment to contribute back to society, Mr Babu donated $100,000 to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund on Monday. He added: “Children are the pillars of our families and country. Instead of making them rich by giving money, we must provide a good quality of education.
