Tunku Ismail posted a screenshot of a conversation between him and Johor Baru mayor Datuk Noorazam Osman on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, in reply to a user asking for the contract of the company to be terminated.When contacted, Noorazam said that the Johor Baru City Council had taken punitive action against the company, besides issuing a warning to other contractors under the council.
"We have also ordered the contractor involved to repair the damages that they have done," he said, adding that the worker behind the incident had also been fired. Earlier, a one-minute and 22-second video went viral on TikTok showing a video of a clean-up worker allegedly throwing rubbish into the bushes at the roadside of Pantai Lido.
