Bishop-Parker has been a staple business in the city of Montgomery since 1923 and is still family owned and operated. This year marks 100 years of business and partnerships for the two families.
If the original founders of the company could see what has become of their life’s long work…. “I think there would be a certain amount pride and a little bit of surprise because you do have to have a lot of family to keep a business going. The neat thing about this office is that everyone that I’ve known in the past 51 years that has worked for us has been in one of these offices around me.
Parker says family is the main reason that the company has mad it to the 100 year mark. The company currently has two locations in Montgomery. One on East South Boulevard and a Discount Warehouse located on McGehee Road. The East South Boulevard location has been in operation for 51 years and the original building downtown is still standing and is a part of the Alley.
