Kota Kinabalu: Transparency in opportunities, workplace flexibility and access to opportunities are what companies need to consider to make workplace more gender inclusive.

“Women in the Workplace: Asia” study conducted by travel company Agoda found those criteria more important than pay parity and parental support. Some 12,000 people participated in the survey across 10 Asian cities. Chief People Officer at Agoda Eliana Carmel said the findings serve as a guide for employers looking to retain quality talent in Asia.

“While there may still be a glass ceiling, it’s not all bad news. There is a sentiment that things are improving across the region, and particularly in developing markets,” Eliana said. Eliana said the study sheds light on a generational shift in attitudes towards workplace inclusivity.
