The two-hour forums are held in Spanish and feature expert speakers, interactive workshops and open discussions — addressing the challenges and opportunities unique to Hispanic business owners.Building successful business relationships with prime contractorsNetworking strategies for economic development

The forums will be held once a month through the end of the year at the Downtown Main Library on 303 N. Jacksonville’s Hispanic community makes up a little more than 11% of the city’s population, according to data from the most recent U.S. Census. It’s one of the fastest-growing populations in Duval County. “We are excited to offer these forums in Spanish to better serve our Hispanic business community,” said Yanira “Yaya” Cardona, Hispanic outreach coordinator for the city of Jacksonville. “Our goal is to empower Hispanic small business owners with the knowledge and connections they need to thrive and contribute to the economic growth of Jacksonville.”
