MANILA, Philippines – The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) expressed its sympathy over the passing of former ambassador Howard Q. Dee, a paragon of virtue whose life was defined by unwavering dedication to service, integrity and deep compassion for those most in need.

Dee, a paragon of virtue whose life was defined by unwavering dedication to service, integrity and deep compassion for those most in need.The Philippine ambassador to the Holy See and Malta from 1986 to 1990 died on Aug. 21, a day after he suffered a stroke. He was 94.

'Through these initiatives and his service as a leader in various NGOs such as Tabang Mindanaw, Caritas Manila, and Pondo ng Pinoy, Ambassador Dee exemplified the essence of servant leadership. He led not by the power of position, but through an unwavering commitment to purpose and principle,' it said.Dee was the son of the late FFCCCII vice president Dee Hong Lue, nephew of FFCCCII vice president Dee K. Chiong, nephew of pre-war leader and philanthropist Dee C.
