Luxury knitwear company Hania New York employs nearly 100 knitters around the city who work from home

The cashmere sweaters made by Hania New York, a luxury knitwear company based in Manhattan, have a contemporary look. The shapes are modern and the colors often bold. But when it comes to the production process, it might as well be 1852.

The company employs nearly 100 knitters around the city who work out of their homes crafting its sweaters, which sell through retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and Gorsuch for $2,000 to $3,000.
