Shoprite never used to sell rotis. So how did Ashraf Kader convince the retailer to supply his product and grow his company to the point that it now has a turnover of roughly R450 000 a month?

DURBAN - Ashraf Kader , the owner of Mia’s Food, nationally supplies white flour roti, wholewheat roti, white flour naan and onion-flavoured naan to Shoprite.

So how did Kader convince the mainstream retailer to supply his product and grow his company to the point that it now has a turnover of roughly R450 000 a month?

Respect and admiration to Ashraf Kader and his family. Committment, perseverance, dedication and hard work paid off and made them successful. This was not an overnight success. Took years of perseverance... it paid off when Shoprite gave them an opportunity.
