Uber–Grubhub deal appears off table as U.K.'s Just Eats Takeaway moves in

Uber Technologies Inc. shares UBER, -5.32% are off about 5% in Wednesday trading after a CNBC report indicated that the company was"likely" to pull out of its deal talks with GrubHub Inc.

after some lawmakers raised antitrust concerns about a potential combination. The report, which cites multiple anonymous sources, said that GrubHub was likely to merge with a European food-delivery player, as the company has received interest from Just Eat Takeaway.com N.V. JET, -13.08% TKWY, -13.30% and Delivery Hero AG DHER, +0.42%. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that Just Eat Takeaway.
