Mapillary collects images from tens of thousands of contributors to build immersive and up-to-date maps. YahooFinance

SAN FRANCISCO - Facebook Inc on Thursday acquired Swedish mapping technology company Mapillary, which collects images from tens of thousands of contributors to build immersive and up-to-date maps, the companies said.
