Sievierodonetsk has become the epicentre of the battle for control over Ukraine’s eastern region of Donbas. That tells me the Russians are not expecting to go beyond Severodonetsk. Blowing bridges make any further advances impossible. The Russians are doing Ukraine’s job for them.
