Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi says all schools in South Africa belong to all races. Lesufi says the DA has been falsely declaring to the public that the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill seeks to attack Afrikaans and mother tongue education.

Earlier, the MEC held a media briefing to address concerns surrounding the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill.

Members of the Democratic Alliance led by the party’s Federal Council Chair, Helen Zille, held a protest outside Lesufi’s offices in central Johannesburg to express their disapproval of the Bill.

The fact that all 11 SA languages are not properly presented in SA schools after 28 years can only be blamed on the 28 year old ANC regime.
