Overall industrial production rose 0.4 per cent, after slipping 0.1 per cent the prior month. Economists polled by Reuters had estimated a 0.1 per cent increase. The region-wide index ended 0.3 per cent higher. It logged its best day in near two weeks on Monday after Britain’s new finance minister Jeremy Hunt scrapped most of Prime Minister Liz Truss’s unfunded tax cuts.
