European stocks finished lower Wednesday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index SXXP, -0.18% falling 0.18% to 446.91.

Shares of insurance firm ASR Nederland N.V. ASRNL, -14.19% and retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -9.77% declined 14.2% and 9.8%, respectively. Shares of investing/securities firm Close Brothers Group PLC CBG, +6.69% and retail company THG PLC THG, +5.54% added 6.7% and 5.5%, respectively.
