Stocks in the Asia-Pacific region mostly grew Wednesday, Oct. 11, with shares in Hong Kong rising for the fifth session and the Japanese market showing a second day of gains.
Of the Hang Seng Index constituents, optical instruments company Sunny Optical Technology 2382, +12.23% saw the largest increase Wednesday, as shares jumped 12.2%. Shares of marine transport firm Orient Overseas Intl 316, -1.82% and jewelry retailing company Chow Tai Fook Jewellery 1929, -1.24% weakened 1.8% and 1.2%, respectively.
