I've been drinking beer in Ormskirk for 30 years now - one of my earliest pub memories was seeing Eric Cantona do his Kung Fu flying kick on the TV in the Cricketers on Chapel Street in 1995 when I was meant to be in a Confirmation class for school. But I don't think in years gone by I would have recommended people come all the way from Liverpool for a drink in my hometown.
Paul makes his own pizzas which are excellent as well as being great value and he has a fridge full of craft ales as well as a growing cocktail menu and pumps with weird beers you won't find in other places like O'Hara's stout which is better than Guinness in my opinion.
