The 38th edition of the marathon featuring some of the country’s strongest K2 combinations started early on Friday.Fish River Canoe Marathon chairperson, Roy Copeman, says the Department of Water and Sanitation has played an important role in the event.
“We have put an order with Water Affairs and throughout the years and forever since I can remember they release 26 cubics of water and that is maintained year after year. Water Affairs has been very forthcoming. We have a good relationship with them,” says Copeman.
