Festive season road fatalities drops by 10 % The number of road fatalities and injuries over the past festive season has dropped by 10% compared to the previous year.

The highest number of road fatalities happened in KwaZulu-Natal with 354 people, followed by Gauteng with 254 fatalities.

Mbalula has thanked law enforcement officers for their hard work to bring down the number of road deaths.I would also like to commend officers who went beyond the call of duty and demonstrated commitment to their work. These are the no nonsense kind of traffic officers who understand that safety on the roads is not negotiable.
