WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential contender Michael Bloomberg will sell Bloomberg LP, the financial information company that made him a billionaire, if he is elected to the White House in November, his campaign confirmed on Tuesday. Bloomberg has risen quickly in opinion polls since entering the race for the Democratic nomination in November and he will appear in his first debate of the election cycle on Wednesday in Las Vegas. Democrats are vying for the right to challenge Republican President Donald Trump in the Nov. 3 election.
The former New York mayor has said before he would likely sell Bloomberg LP if elected, which his campaign affirmed on Tuesday.Bloomberg LP provides financial information to Wall Street firms in addition to news. It is privately held, with Bloomberg himself owning most of the company, which he founded in 1981. Analysts at Burton-Taylor International Consulting estimate the firm generated over $10 billion in revenue in 2019.
Bloomberg is not competing in the early voting states of the Democratic nomination process and instead hopes to start winning votes when 14 states vote on March 3 in the Super Tuesday contests.
If he were to obtain the right price. Which could take years to sell for the price expected. Do not be blinded by idle conversation!
Hes gunna beat Trump? Come onnn.. 😂
Look at the message of the parasite!
Trump sold nothing because he doesn't actually own anything.
waltshaub Thoughts?
We’ve heard that before. Thanks but no thanks
he paid to enter the election, he bought the right to be in the debates he's the fucking corruption
Because he doesn’t plan on leaving.
He will it have to worry about it. The racist granny killing farm hater is going down.

To his blind trust I’m sure
If.
Breezer813 Ya, sure, just like Trump did.
to whom? Bloomberg the company made $10B revenues in 2019. Let's say it's valued at MSFT's revenue multiple of ~3.5x, values it company $35B. Bloomberg the man owns 88%, making his stake worth ~$31B.
We've heard this before
We currently have a billionaire in office that promised the same thing. He still owns his businesses. No thanks. Our elections are not for sale. NeverBloomberg
Don't worry Mini Mike MikeBloomberg, you won't sell anything. Have you bought your box for the debate? You'll need it.
whyfund Wow!!!!!
Thats what he said. WheresWarren Elizabeth Warren: 'It’s a shame Mike Bloomberg can buy his way into the debate. But at least now primary voters curious about how each candidate will take on Donald Trump can get a live demonstration of how we take on an egomaniac billionaire.'
When all of your business comes from communist china, so it becomes a national security threat 😂
gidm
To his own son?
don't worry about it
Where are his taxes. Where is he invested?
IPO!!!
Sure 🙄
If he's elected president we should all just cash out and go to Vegas.
Ahahaha. No he won’t. Why should he? Trump got away with keeping all his businesses.
lmao yeah right
The nomination is already bought and paid for, says Mike
We've heard that before
I hear Trump will release his tax records if he is elected, also.
Acts like a North Pole elf in public, but everyone knows he’s a South Pole elf behind the scenes

Bloomberg avoids capital gains tax when he dresses the sale of his company as necessary to prevent clashes of interest. Makes the campaign seem a bargain. No philanthropy here. hypocrite
Well, yeah. He'd have an entire country to bully.
professorkim Lol! Where have we heard THAT before?
To China or Qatar....?
he has to know he will never win.
yeah, that's a lie
What other politician promised pretty much the same thing... It's on the tip of my tongue... Now who was it
Hah.
Not accurate! He said he’d put it in blind trust and “eventually” sell it. Thus is what we call “saying everything, telling nothing”.
Big lier of democrats
Make it public so I can buy some Bloom stocks
Hahahahahahaha.
they're already influencing the election, he should have sold it when he announced his candidacy also release his tax returns
Bloomberg is a ruthless bully. If he gets the nomination the dem party is ruined
I guess I'll have to hold my nose & vote for Bloomberg!
BFD he will still have all the money and he can do what he wants so who cares? Just because he is wealthy doesn’t make him a good candidate or president! Anyone who is trying to buy this position isn’t fit for the job!
Just release the taxes. Nobody cares what he does with his company.
Always good idea to sell something if you have no choice...smart
Will the misogyny stop then?
He shouldn’t be worried about selling his company then.
Talk is cheap
Maybe he differs to Trump in that he considera being POTUS to be the biggest thing he will ever have done.....So, maybe he will?!
🙄
Who will Mike Bloomberg be selling Bloomberg to - China ? Will China then have a direct channel to USA & EU financial markets. Will Bloomberg be enabling China to enjoy favorable policies facilitated by the Elected President.
to our socialist friends, Bernie and AOC the people who base all their shit on sharing the pie for the common good, keep every fucking dime they get for themselves. Mike funded the blue wave got a lot of women elected so, simmer down on the Mike hate.
It doesn't matter if he sells his company, if he can buy an election.
In this photo, he looks like a wax figure
Yea, if I owned and developed Us Weekly from the ground, only to be elected as Brad Pitt, I’d have no controlling influence anymore. Right. Got it.
Why?
Moot.
Bullshit. We fell for that once. Strike that. We've heard that lie before.
It is a bummer he is also 'being audited', I am sure Bloomberg will do everything...Riigghhttt after the audit is over.
JFK... Im beginning to think the media sees a Bloomberg/Trump fight as their biggest profit match up. Once again proving she was right.
Why?
Nothing says “I’m for sale” quite like telling people once you’re elected you want someone to give you a pile of money for your stuff.
He won’t need to
Why? He shouldn't even consider selling his company. The genie is out of the bottle, Trump and his party set a new president. Ethics do not matter anymore. MikeBloomberg
Bullshit.
If that doesn’t sound quid pro quo....
No he won’t...that’s all they do is lie!
Yeah right. No one believes that.
Sure. He'll sell it to Bike Mloomberg from Yew Nork. Yeah right.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Where have I heard this one before?
What, from his left hand to his right?
r/thathappened
Heard that shit before. nothanks
Don't trust such promises.
Is t the value inflated by being elected?
He's gonna sell it to Bernie for a cool million.
😂🤣O...really?!
He originally said he’d sell if he ran. Never trust a liar
🤣😅
And donate proceeds to charity?
Good luck
First, buy jack's $twtr then sell to $AMZN
if he lives that long
Heard it before.
Whatever
I'm selling my TV if elected president... It's not worth a billion but it's only to show how ridiculous rich people are nowaday... MikeBloomberg Campaign2020
If only this was the expected, acceptable norm. Or perhaps the expected or universally accepted disqualifying criteria for failing to do so...
Trick of Capitalism
We’ve heard that one before. Never trust a millionaire/billionaire/person named Trump.
Unlike realDonaldTrump who continues to profit off the taxpayers.
Where did I hear that before? 🤔
And where will he invest his money? $60B is a lot. Bet there won’t be any calls for emolument violations with him. Total BS.
😄
Sell.
This is proof he knows his not going to win.
Instead of selling it can you just take the profits of the company and share it to low and mid income people.
Isn't he already the 9th richest person though? And wouldn't he probably be planning on selling the co at some point anyways? Pretty synthetic morality imo
Why? Trump said the emoluments clause was phony.
As a forced sale and claim it is exempt from capital gains taxes as a result. AnandWrites
