Cisco is entering an entrenched network software and hardware market — but its revenue-sharing model could improve its appeal

to grow quickly to $47 billion in 2022, up from $35 billion in 2019, per Business Insider Intelligence.

Here's how Cisco's latest network solutions will help mobile network operators avoid hurdles as they upgrade to 5G: The Cisco Cloud Services Stack for Mobility replaces multi-vendor software stacks. This allows Cisco to provide network operators with a single solution that is more manageable at scale than integrating multiple products.

The Cisco Cloud Services Stack for Content Delivery promises to reduce network congestion and improve the quality of immersive video content. To accomplish this, Cisco's software helps network operators deliver content at the network's edge, reducing the amount of data that must be transmitted.
