“I understand the challenges faced by companies in submitting statutory documents to fulfill SSM requirements.

“Hence, the government has agreed to implement a 30-day moratorium which takes effect automatically from the last day of the Movement Control Order to allow companies to submit the documents. “The deadline for companies to submit their financial statement is also extended for three months from the last day of the MCO. This is for companies with financial year ending Sept 30 until Dec 31, 2019,” he said in a live telecast today.

However, Muhyiddin said companies must submit an application to SSM, but that no late penalty fee will be imposed on applicants.
