Jamie Dimon, who is worth $1.2 billion, says businesses and government should make the world more fair. Thoughts?

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Jamie Dimon urged business and government to use the coronavirus pandemic as an opportunity to create a fairer economy:

— Jamie Dimon, J.P. Morgan Dimon made the comment in a memo to staff ahead of Tuesday’s annual shareholder meeting JPM, -0.50%, as the Financial Times reported. The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits since the pandemic struck climbed to 39 million last week, according to Labor Department data.

Dimon regularly comments on social issues, and observed in his annual letter to shareholders in early April that the U.S. had not been adequately prepared for the pandemic.

But he and his bank wouldn't even pick up the phone to discuss renegotiating my mortgage ten years ago and just continued with foreclosure. Fuck Jamie Dimon.

“Should”

He should just give away his money then. He made his money under capitalism, now wants socialism?

Jamie Dimon has sold himself to the Devil and answers to him and his minions in global one-world pushers

Jamie could cut fees at his bank!!!

Support the democracy....JoeBiden 💙💙💙💙💙

If there wasn’t a lot of police around to enforce the system (at taxpayers expense ironically), something similar to the French Revolution would happen for sure.

Plutes create the problem so they can sell you the solution.

I think he should put his thoughts into action and set the example.

Someone wants to run for president in 2024

Fair does not mean Socialism or income redistribution. It means opportunity, educations, ... There will always be those that have more money than others because they took more risk, were more inventive or 'lucky'.

Sounds like valid points....why wait until a crisis to let easy money flow. Let the money flow all the time...the govt backing the deals.

If we're lucky, Jamie will live long enough to see himself & everyone he loves reduced to inescapable, grinding poverty.

The rich have screwed the poor since the world began—that will never change 💰💰💰💵💵& that’s the truth 💰💰

Unions at one time were widespread and through collective bargaining made equality a possibility.

... try reaching ASAP the philanthropy $ billions point to start alleviating your conscience Jamie, ... ask Bill Gates for details, ... he knows

He should 🤫🤥💩

How so? Socialism is a failure. Only one economic system works, capitalism. No other country classes is equal to America. Poor and middle class live better life than other countries, fact.

Per MW, JPM is delaying payments/fees on behalf of their customers, but they're also making up the loss by assuming no risk management fees elsewhere. Maybe Milton Friedman is still a more reliable source than compelling CSR initiatives.

jamie could give his money away, right? sure man

He feels the need to catch up to Taylor swift.

The only job Mr. Dimon has to perform is to shareholder. Make sure they have return on their investment. All other issues are for politicians.

Fairness should be achieved by building the poor up not tearing the rich down.

My thoughts are: JCPenny CEO hauling millions then the company is filing bankruptcy. ATT CEO retiring with $270,000 A MONTH FOR LIFE. Jamie Dimon is just another one

Seems that markets have already priced in a full scale recovery and lots of future growth. Not a problem, its typical

He can start.

He is right and his worth is irrelevant

There is a lot of corporate greed and avarice. It wouldn't hurt for them to share a little of the wealth. They'd still have more than they'll ever spend.

He could start by reducing his inflated salary/bonus and paying his employees more

He has studied history, he knows the time of the pitchforks and burning the rich is coming?

Well then he can start by donating 1.1 billion dollars to American's in need tomorrow.

Ppl with money always talk like that but nobody ever implement any actions to make changes.

Agree

No way.. JD is a billionaire..
