DC small business owner struggling to get PPP funds during coronavirus crisis.

The allocation of these PPP funds has been a topic of debate since the program rolled out in early April. Businesses that already had established relationships with banks got approved over others. The program has drawn criticism from lawmakers on both sides who say those that need the funding the most aren't getting it quickly enough, if at all. Thus far, the Small Business Administration has not released detailed data on the businesses receiving these taxpayer funds.

Marcel Benson, who runs Benson Watch Company out of Lanham, Md., has thrived while other small businesses struggle under COVID-19 due to his online sales. He attributes the company's success to being an online business and customers being home shopping more. His growth has been so great he opted not to apply for a PPP loan.

"It's something we're keeping our eye on," Benson said."We may be sold out before we're able to get a new inventory."

To ABC news, I hope by featuring a black female small business owner your not implying because she’s black it was difficult, oh no, white, black, pink, green, yellow, blue.....join the club!

Be honest ABC you only tweeted this story cuz she is black. ALL WHITE business owners got their money.

The era a of small businesses is thankfully over. Hopefully, since we were able to destroy a large swath of small business, people will think twice about opening one and leave running businesses to those more deserving and globalist—people like Jeff Bezos!

why have you noT done any stories on EIDL grants/loans from the SBAgov. So many people are waiting over 60 days with no communication from the SBA. Whether apps are approved or denied the grant is supposed to be given yet that is not happening. Where is the story?

Money grab

Esperemos que sea tomada en cuenta, ya que sí trabaja.

It seems she missed out on the first funding. I do hope she thanked Pelosi for stalling the refunding for 2 weeks. If you look, i bet you can find more folks struggling. You prefer to forget about the successes, right? Does it make you happy?

If DC had it's own Senators and a voting membership in Congress. These games wouldn't be played with them like this, by the GOP.

I think Mitch made sure those went to defense contractors.

I barely got mine; itis one of the most screwed up programs ever! Multimillion companies got them, small tiny businesses like ours suffered before we got a few bucks

Time to open up the country.
