Apple, Facebook and Microsoft are among the 52 companies and organizations in a court filing denouncing Trump administration restrictions on employment-based visas, saying that the action"fundamentally disserves the interests of the United States by stifling the ability of U.S. businesses to attract the world's best talent, drive innovation, and further American economic prosperity."

In late June, the White House introduced a series of new restrictions on visas that allow immigrants to temporarily work in the United States, arguing that the rollback was a result of high unemployment from the coronavirus pandemic.Amazon, Netflix and Twitter also signed on to the court brief.

🇨🇳🏧🩸

We have enough communists at Facebook. I’m with the president.

It serves the AMERICAN PEOPLE and not big business exploiting immigrants so they can hit the BILLIONAIRE STATUS. You guys are soulless for sure and its sickening.

You forgot to mention that these are 'for profit' companies. They dont really care about Americans, but do care about the American wallet. They do not hold a moral compass for Americans. Why should they? All they want is our money. Money is THEIR INTEREST IN THE UNITED STATES

Of course they are...Cheap labor. Please don't tell me we don't have qualified people in the USA.

Is there any statement about hiring Americans from these companies?

Fuck all of them. I launched my first website in 1999. It was profitable in one month. I continued pioneering online. My code has been borrowed and duped. Now, I can't get a job because ALL of these slaughterhouses hire primarily cheap 'asians', meaning Indians.

It's a disservice for corporations to seek cheap labor for minority visa holders. Americans expect competitive pay. Minorities can take $100s to $1000s less. Because sending money overseas tends to return higher exchange for starters. Pay less to minorities isn't racist though 🤔

If we are locked down for protection we don't need anyone coming in. It's as simple as that.
