Wall Street analysts lay out what the unexpected pause in AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine trial could mean for the race to halt the pandemic

"This is a routine action which has to happen whenever there is a potentially unexplained illness in one of the trials, while it is investigated, ensuring we maintain the integrity of the trials,"The New York Times reported that the participant in the late-stage trial had received a diagnosis of transverse myelitis

AstraZeneca's shares fell TK% Wednesday morning, while Pfizer and Moderna rose TK% and TK%, respectively. AstraZeneca's trial pause could lead to weeks of delay in figuring out whether the vaccine works, at best, Wall Street analysts said in notes Wednesday morning.
